It took about 14 months to get to the 120K level.  Its all about exposure, at first I didn't think broad enough.  Its simple really, the more exposure the more sales.

Hey Jimbo,

120k a year? that's nice!

How many years of part time or full time did it take you to get to that point?

What would you say is a realistic 1st year goal?

Thanks,

Doug

Hi,

You're welcome.  I do know that there are many people out there doing well with MEDAlert, I've communicated with a number of people since starting.  I think the forum activity is just a bit slow because it is easy to do and people don't have too many questions.

Regarding sales, sure I don't mind sharing.  My profits right now considering wholesale cost of the product and printing costs of the brochures is yielding an income of $120,000 p/year.  When I started it wasn't as much because it took some time to grow and get more visibility.

People like this product and the simplicity, not a hard sell biggrin

thanks Jimbo!

I guess there aren't a lot of people still doing this business judging by the entry dates in the forum..There are so many usb's out there for p.e.r.s.

if you don't mind my asking, would you be so kind as to honestly tell me about how many sales you make in a month?

THANK YOU AGAIN!! you were the only one to answer, I was beginning to think there was no one out theresmile

Hi,

I just put a note in my brochure "Email Us for a Form"  then I can email them the form or even send it by postal mail once they contact me.  So, I just place the brochures in businesses and people order by sending in the completed form with payment or I email them a payment link using Paypal which is very easy to do...just plugin their email address and put in an amount due.

Try using  www.docucopies.com for brochure printing... lowest cost I could find with great quality.  You will save a ton over using staples.

I am thinking of getting into this business and seeing as there are additional costs, i.e. brochure costs, etc, I want to have

sure I have all the info up front.

question: let's say you sell a Medalert membership online or in person, seeing as you have to input all that person's info..how do you approach that? in other words, do you give them the preprinted forms to fill out (if in person) or do you call and get the info over the phone?Because I can see if you are following up over the phone, that it might be hard to get a hold of these people again. How do you handle that?

thanks for any help you can give!smile
