I followed the marketing guide that comes in the startup kit. Basically started by sending out the press release to newspapers which gives some good free press. Next I sent out the letters to local businesses, daycare centers etc.... to introduce my business and give them a brochure. I then called or stopped by to suggest putting out my brochure holder/order forms to get new customers. My feeling is that it is well received because it helps to keep their customers safe so they feel good about it.
Hello, I must admit I was a little worried when starting this business and not sure how successful I would be.
I'm not a sales type of person and was not sure if this would be an issue. Its not a hard sell type of service since people can easily see the benefits and like the idea of having peace of mind.
I'm pleased so say that I'm doing well and the business is very profitable. I started part time about 6 months ago and I'm now earning a steady income that is more than my current salary.
I'm giving my 2 weeks notice next week at my full time job It is such a great feeling to no longer have to work for someone else!
